Six clues. One conclusion.

We pinned the clues to the corkboard. We connected them with red string. We re-read them at 3am. Some of us have not slept since. Below: the six clues that, when arranged in the right order, spell out a single word. The word is RATS.

CLUE 01.

Cheese trail.

A trail of cheese was found leading from the chart to the Oval Office. The cheese was Gouda. We are still investigating who buys Gouda in bulk in DC. The list is short.

CLUE 02.

The witness.

A small grey witness was photographed in the West Wing pantry at 03:14 AM. The witness wore no badge. The witness has not been formally interviewed. The witness will not return our calls.

CLUE 03.

Sewer connection.

A pipe runs from the chart straight into the DC sewer system. The DC sewer system runs straight back into the chart. This is a closed loop. We made a diagram. The diagram is also a circle.

CLUE 04.

Three pizzas.

Three large pizzas were ordered to a known $RATGATE wallet on May 1. The pizzas had no toppings. Pizzas with no toppings is, in our judgement, the most suspicious order ever placed.

CLUE 05.

Mar-a-Lago.

A polaroid of the Mar-a-Lago grand ballroom shows an unidentified small grey object on the floor. We zoomed in 400% on the polaroid. The object remained small, grey, and unidentified.

CLUE 06.

The cheese vault.

A cheese vault has been confirmed in the basement of the white house. The vault is climate-controlled. The vault is biometrically locked. The lock pattern is a small grey paw print. We are not making this up.

The board has been pinned to the wall of the back room since January. We keep adding things. The string keeps getting redder. The connections keep getting clearer. The rats keep getting fatter.

The board now occupies an entire wall. Some of us look at it for hours. Some of us have started looking at the back of the board. The back of the board, it turns out, has more clues. We are investigating.

The story broke at 04:14 UTC on a Wednesday. The chyron has not changed since. The anchor has not changed since. The anchor's tie has not changed since. We are now on day six of the same live broadcast.

The producers have stopped feeding the anchor. They want to see how long he can go. He is reportedly fueled by determination, the producer's coffee, and approximately $40,000 in $RATGATE bags he aped on day two.

The breaking-news graphic now reads "BREAKING — DAY 6." The graphic has begun to look at us through the screen. We have started to look back. We are now part of the story.

When we ran out of room on the front, we flipped the corkboard over. The back of the board, against all expectations, also has a corkboard. We hung more polaroids. We pinned more sticky notes. We connected more red strings.

The HANTA stamp appears in red on the right side of every version of the board. It has been there since the beginning. We do not know who stamped it. We do not know what it means. We do not feel comfortable removing it.

Maintenance worker tells us about a "vault that smells funny." We investigate. We find the vault. The vault smells funny. Climate-controlled. Locked.

Plumber confirms sewer connection from chart to Oval Office. Plumber pulls out his own corkboard. Plumber has been investigating this longer than us.

HANTA STAMP APPEARS

The HANTA stamp appears overnight on the right side of the board. Nobody admits to having stamped it. The board does not seem unhappy about it. We move on.

Token deployed on Solana. Chart immediately mirrors the cheese trail. The cheese trail mirrors the chart. We pin a screenshot. The board is full.
